Compatibility with Flight Simulator 2024

Work is currently underway to explore the conversion of some of our FS2020 packs to MSFS 2024.

​

Whilst technically very similar, content differences between the two simulators limit our options. Also, improved technology and techniques developed in recent years enable us to make more complete and high quality mission packs than our initial modern releases 5-6 years ago.

Here is a summary of progress:

VFR + IFR

FS Academy - VFR for FS2020 was released soon after the launch of that simulator. It is well loved and high regarded, but we can now make more advanced and complete experiences, which we aim to do rather than port across VFR to FS2024.

We took this approach with INTERCEPTOR, an all-new IFR training pack for MSFS 2024, which is more in depth and an improved product in all aspects compared to our previous FS Academy - IFR package.

 

Therefore neither VFR or IFR are planned for conversion.

NAVIGATOR + VOYAGER

We are exploring converting this content across to MSFS 2024 and work is currently underway.

JETLINER + COMMANDER

Both of these packs utilise the original Asobo A320 NEO aircraft provided with FS2020. This aeroplane was not included in FS2024, so a direct conversion is not possible. Utilising the improved iniBuilds A320 is not currently possible due to technical limitations of state loading with this aircraft in the new sim, which has been present since the launch of FS2024.

Therefore also neither JETLINER or COMMANDER are planned for conversion. If the technical bugs can be resolved by MS/Asobo we would produce an all-new better than ever A320 experience.
