WHERE DO I FIND THE MISSIONS

After installation, restart the sim and the missions will be in the Activities - Bush Trips menu.

See the future improvements section below for more on this topic.

UPDATE HISTORY

Simplified breakdown of recent updates. Full changelogs can be found in Content Manager in-game.

Obtain the latest version by updating from the in-game Content Manager, Orbx Direct or third-party store, as applicable.

IFR v1.3 - CURRENT VERSION

Corrects changes ILS frequency for Pisa 04R.

FUTURE IMPROVEMENTS

The following aspects are under investigation for future updates:

Custom Menu Categories

Currently the Bush Trips menu is all that is available to us. Custom menu categories are WIP and will introduce a dedicated section in-game for FS Academy mission packs.

On-Screen Assistance

Future updates will add markers and on-screen objectives to the missions, aiding navigation and eases keeping up with your instructor's requests.

Completion Statistics and Logbook

Currently the location of the missions within the Bush Trips category assigns them a completion %.

Even after completing a mission, this will remain at 0%, as this is only applicable to actual bush trips, such as those found in FS Academy - Voyager. Please disregard this figure. This will be addressed by adding custom categories.

The in-game logbook does not currently record flying hours during missions. This will require a fix from the MSFS team.

MISSIONS NOT APPEARING

Check your installation

Ensure you have unzipped and put the "fsacademy-jetliner" folder in your community folder, if purchased from a store other than Marketplace or Orbx. For Marketplace, ensure you have restarted MSFS and looked in the Activities - Bush Trips menu.

Mod Conflict

You may have a conflict with another mod or package.

Please move all mods out of your community folder and only have "fsacademy-jetliner" in there as a compatibility test.

You can then re-introduce mods one by one to see which is causing the issue.

Uninstalled Aircraft

After MSFS updates, aircraft may become uninstalled without your knowledge, causing them to disappear in the aircraft select screen and hiding any missions that use that aircraft.

Use the Content Manager within MSFS to reinstall any missing aircraft.

Redownload

There have been rare cases where a downloaded ZIP had become corrupted. Try to redownload from your place of purchase and try installation again.

Reinstall MSFS

Although potentially a lengthy process, there have been several reports of various mission packs being correctly installed, but not appearing in the menus. A reinstallation has been known to resolve this issue and others.

TRANSLATED VERSIONS

Currently only English voice and text guidance is available.

FS Academy is a small studio which makes obtaining multiple voiceovers, subtitles and manual versions in various languages unfeasible at present, but we hope to expand localisation options in the future, but no timeframe is provided.

A transcript is not currently available, but is being considered for inclusion in future updates.

TRANSFERRING STORES

The FS Academy range is available on a wide selection of platforms. To discuss transferring a purchase from one store to another, please contact the store in question.

We are not aware of a current method where this is supported, but the stores themselves can advise you further.

MOD COMPATIBILITY

FS Academy missions packs may not be compatible with other third-party mods.

If you find that aircraft systems do not behave as expected, such as blank radios , visible 3D pilot 'avatar' and inoperative instruments, uninstall any aircraft mods you may have to ensure correct functioning.

I FLY FOR A LONG TIME WITH NO INSTRUCTIONS

If this happens repeatedly, ensure you are listening to your instructor and following their direction. If your flying is not sufficiently accurate or you misinterpret an important instruction, you may not achieve what is required to progress the lesson.

All missions are fully completable if flown correctly, plus a margin for error. A common cause is where a required parameter such as slowing to a lower airspeed is not achieved in a reasonable time before reaching a location based trigger. By the time the speed target has been met, the location trigger is now behind you and will not be activated.

If the instructor detects that something is taking too long or a parameter is drifting off target, a reminder will be given.

It is not feasible to create triggers or prompts able to catch every conceivable error or combination of errors, so there will be occasions where an instruction has been missed or not satisfied within a reasonable time, causing you to fall through the net.

If you fly for more than a few minutes with no dialog from your instructor, consider restarting and part particular attention to the instructors directions, assisted with the captions.

A future update will include on-screen instructions, making following your instructors requests easier.
