FIND VFR

After installation, restart the sim and locate the missions in ACTIVITIES - CUSTOM CONTENT.

If the missions are not present, please check the following steps:

 

REINSTALL AIRCRAFT

Use the in-game Content Manager to ensure that the default C152, Robin DR400 and DA40 NG are installed.

Note that some addon liveries can cause missions to be hidden, so please remove these liveries.

INSTALLATION

Ensure that you have restarted the sim after installation.

For marketplace customers, please ensure that the purchase and download process completed successfully, checking that payment was taken and download has completed.

For non-marketplace customers, please redownload the product to rule out a corrupted ZIP and refer to the installation instructions included inside, placing the unzipped package in your the community folder.

KNOWN ISSUES

VFR06. LANDING TRIGGER

SU8 has disabled runway 24 at Sumburgh as a valid landing runway, causing the landing trigger to not function. In the meantime, you can use RWY27 instead, as this will correctly detect your landing. This will be fixed by VFR v1.4

BUSH TRIP WEATHER

SU8 introduced an issue where the weather for a bush trip (particularly the NZ Trip) does not correctly load.

The weather pre-set will be amended with VFR v1.4. In the meantime, use the weather panel from the toolbar to set your desired weather.

NO SCORING

Sim Update 9 force enabled the scoring feature. Currently a score of 0 will be given at the end of each mission.

A basic form of scoring will be added in a future update.

GETTING UPDATES

All stores are provided with the latest version simultaneously. Marketplace conducts internal testing and processing, taking more time for an update to become available for download. Updates can cause BUSH TRIP progress to be reset.

 

Your currently installed version can be seen within Content Manager.

For non-marketplace customers, login to your store of choice to download the latest version.

Updates to either VFR or MSFS can cause BUSH TRIP progress to be reset, or require that you manually reset your progress to allow the update to take effect. Instructions can be found below.

ON-SCREEN OBJECTIVES

The objectives will list each required step of the missions in real time. Ensure that the objectives panel is displayed by using the in-game toolbar.

MOD COMPATIBILITY

FS Academy missions packs may not be compatible with other third-party mods.

If you find that aircraft systems do not behave as expected, such as blank radios , issues with VR, visible 3D pilot 'avatar' and inoperative instruments, uninstall any aircraft mods you may have to ensure correct functioning.

The Working Title NXi G1000 is not currently supported.

BUSH TRIPS - RESETING

To resume a Bush Trip from an earlier leg, select the desired start point from the briefing screen. To delete your save files, perform the following:

 

PC ONLY. MSFS does not offer XBOX users an easy method to delete progress.

To delete your saved progress and start again, navigate to the path listed below and delete the save files for that trip.

Be careful to only delete the files for the trips you intend to restart. The folder may need unhiding in Windows.

BUSH TRIPS - ENDING A LEG

MSFS Bush Trip logic requires that you come to a full stop ON THE RUNWAY at the end of each leg.

LANGUAGE SUPPORT

Only English voice and text guidance is available, including full subtitles.

Language expansions and transcripts are not currently planned, but are considered for a future update.
